The Authority is governed by a board of
directors, each of whom is appointed for a term of three years by the respective governing bodies of each of the Authority's members. Each constituent member of the Authority appoints and is represented by two board members, with the exception of Bladen County, which appoints one member, and Brunswick County, which appoints four members.
